September 8, 2019, a group of mostly Filipino runners from the SDA Runners ran the Singha Obstacle Trail Run VXIII at Suenpheung Highlands. The group consisted mostly of teachers from Adventist International Mission School (AIMS) Korat & Muaklek campuses, Bangkok Advent School and Ekamai International School. The trail run consisted of 25 obstacles, from climbing over walls to getting your face full of mud from crawling in it.
From the group, Ester Vergara (blue hat) won her second 2nd place award in her age category (16-29) with a time of 01:52:24. Her first second place award was won in May 26 in Prachinbhuri. She hopes to complete the tri-series of this competition. The last of the series will be held in Chiangrai on December 8, 2019.
If you ever want to try out something different and explore parts of Thailand, signing up for a run is one way. It is a good way to bond with friends and also make new friends or connections. If you do decide to join, I would suggest making your decision quickly because the slots are limited and fill up fast. For more information about the run, please visit their Facebook Page.
