A kababayan fell off the bus on January 2 and was admitted to the hospital in Samut Prakan.
OFW Levie Sasarita of Misamis Oriental was about to get off the commuting bus when the accident happened. She is now unable to mobilize and was advised to be on bed rest while she continues to take medication.
She underwent a bone surgery and her total hospital bills amounted to approximately 100,000 THB. The hospital allowed her to sign a waiver despite being unable to pay the bills so she could be discharged. She has no relatives in Thailand and is being cared for by friends.
