It’s a sad 2016 Christmas for the Filipino Community in Thailand. At least three Filipinos have been reported to have died since December 19, 2016.
Mrs. Teresita Andoy, 58, died in Sriracha, Chonburi on December 19 due to kidney disease. After seeking for help in which the Filipino community and the PHL embassy extended gladly, her body is scheduled to be repatriated on December 26. She was supposed to be flown back on Christmas but the flight was cancelled due to typhoon Nina.
A few days later while going on a visa run, Ms. Jessica Paller succumbed to a fatal vehicular accident on December 21 in Phuket.
Early morning of December 25, another report of a Filipino death was circulating on Facebook. Mr. Leonardo Prado, Jr. died due to another health failure.
