Just a week after the “We Love the King Parade”, the Filipino community in Chiang Mai once again gathered together to celebrate Christmas at Ruan Pae 2 Restaurant on December 9, 2015.
Also dubbed as “Paskong Pinoy”, the annual year-end get together party was attended by Filipinos and their families working and living in Chiang Mai. Representatives from CIMB Thai Bank also sponsored give-away souvenirs for those who attended the luncheon.
Philippine Honorary Consul Agkarajit Phanomvan na Ayudhya who is based in Chiang Mai also took the time to inform the pinoy community on the new ASEAN Crime Suppression Center that has been set up at Provincial Police Region 5 Headquarters. He also relayed some good news about proposed developments on health care insurance for retired foreign nationals.
The Consul also mentioned the plans of “Consular Corps of Chiang Mai to work closely with Immigration Bureau to develop new queuing system via internet to improve the efficiency of consular services at Chiang Mai Immigration Office”, said in a Facebook post on the Consulate Office.
Paskong Pinoy program was also celebrated at the Philippine Embassy Grounds in Bangkok on December 13, 2015.
