The Filipino Community in Koh Samui (FCS) celebrated their annual gathering on Saturday, January 16, 2016. Attendees reaching to more than 90 guests, both members and nonmembers joined to have fun. Exciting games were participated in by both children and adults, some fantastic prizes were also given away on raffle draws which included a 2-night stay in a resort called Samui Boat Lagoon.
One of the highlights was the potluck dinner which was enjoyed by everyone. A number of volunteers cooked their own specialty like pancit, palabok, sisig, crispy pata, chopsuey, and afritada. They also served very tasty ‘pinoy’ desserts like biko, maja, palitaw and many more. The event was held at Vinothek Choengmon; thanks to the generosity of the owner Mr. Finn Hyttel.
It was indeed an opportune time for all the hardworking Filipinos on the island to unwind and enjoy a blissful night of pure enjoyment and fellowship, especially after the busy holiday season.
The president of the association, Mrs. Sonia Par delivered an encouraging message to inspire everyone to continually uplift the organisation’s mission, vision and goals.
Below are some of the photos taken at the party.
