Finance specialist and banker offers free accounting lesson to OFWs in Thailand

A former banker and senior finance specialist is offering her expertise to help Filipino overseas workers in Thailand.

Accounting ABC-an overview of the three essential financial statements

The session will cover the following topics and schedule

Accounting/Finance Terms:  2:00 -2.30 
The three essential  financial statements: Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow-and why the Cash Flow is considered by many analysts as the most important statement to analyze to determine the health of a business entity 2:30 – 3:00

BREAK: 3:00 – 3:30

Mini case study and exercise to create an Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow: 3:30 – 5:00

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

Maria Divina Blanco Nidhiprabha
As a former banker, Divina held senior position in a number of international banks including ABN-AMRO Bank, ING Bank and Rabobank, specializing in project and structured finance and capital market. In the last 10 years, Divina has been working in development field as senior finance specialist for climate change-related projects/programmes, some of which were supported by USAID, the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland and the European Union. Currently, Divina is a consultant to a climate finance project in Thailand.

Divina holds two undergraduate degrees, BS Biology (Cum Laude) from Ateneo De Davao University and BS Business Administration from Towson University, Maryland, USA. She has MBA from University of Baltimore, USA.
