After besting 10 other contestants, Mr. Jim Sandre Custan and Ms. Elica May Tajonera were crowned as Mr. & Miss Western Union at the opening program of the Association of Filipinos in Thailand Basketball League (AFTBL) season 2 on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
The couple were chosen by Western Union representatives who served as judges during the event. Western Union Thailand is the major sponsor of AFTBL Season 2.
Custan, 24, is from Lanao Del Norte. He has been working at Yanhee International for about four months now. He plays power forward for Yanhee Amigos, one of the strongest teams to watch this season.
The accommodating and lovely Miss Western Union is a 21-year old lass from Negros Occidental. Tajonera has been living with her family in Thailand for 12 years now. She currently works as an executive researcher at Executive Search Partners Thailand.
When asked for her message, Tajonera expressed her gratefulness to Western Union for choosing her and for sponsoring the event.
The winners each received bouquet, sash, crown, bag from Central Department Store and stuff toy from Bangkok Bank.
