Tony-award winner Lea Salonga wowed television audiences when she sang “A Whole New World” live on Good Morning America with original cast member Brad Kane on Friday.
After almost 23 years, the Disney legends who once gave moviegoers a beautiful movie experience with the soaring, romantic song from the movie Aladdin, accompanied by iconic composer Alan Menkenand, performed their unforgettable duet once more.
The song “A Whole New World” garnered a number of awards in the 90s, one of which was the Grammy Award for Song of the Year in 1994.
It also bagged the Academy Award for Best Original Song in 1993, the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1993, and the Grammy Award for Best Song Written for Visual Media in 1994.
