Artist Lenil Francis Yu posted Saturday on his Instagram the newest Marvel superhero from the Philippines, Wave.
According to Yu, this superhero’s tentative name was “Pearl Pangan” a Cebuana whose powers are water and tech based.
“Really proud to design WAVE, the first Filipina Marvel Superhero. She’ll appear for the first time in WAR OF THE REALMS: NEW AGENTS OF ATLAS #1 in May, with story by Greg Pak and art by Gang-Hyuk Lim! @sunnygho colored this cover. ” Yu posted.
Meanwhile, Greg Pak, American comic book writer and director, tweeted yesterday, “Remember when we said we were introducing a new Filipino superhero to the Marvel Universe in WAR OF THE REALMS: AGENTS OF ATLAS #1?.”
