Temporary Travel Ban on the People’s Republic of China and its Special Administrative Regions (Hong Kong and Macau) and South Korea’s North Gyeongsang Province, Daegu and Cheongdo

As of February 14, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) said that the temporary travel ban covers all foreign nationals who will be coming from the People’s Republic of China and its Special Administrative Regions (Hong Kong and Macau), and those who within 14 days immediately preceding arrival, have been to the affected areas.
Filipinos and foreign nationals with Philippine permanent resident visa will be allowed entry subject to the assessment and a 14-day quarantine to be implemented by the Bureau of Quarantine, BI added.
Thailand is NOT included in the travel ban.

In a separate post on DILG Philippines Facebook page dated February 7, the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) clarified on its official Facebook page that only travelers from China, Hong Kong and Macau are covered by the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
The clarification was made after an infographic being widely shared on social media claims that the “DILG has imposed a 14-day quarantine on travelers arriving from 20+ countries affected by the novel Coronavirus”.
