A Filipino teacher was admitted in the intensive care unit (ICU) of Ladprao General Hospital on October 31 after he had difficulty in breathing.
Mody Domingo Fronda, 36, who has been working as a teacher in Bangkok was rushed to the closest hospital by his friend Nash Senyel. Fronda hails from Dona Salud in Davao City.
Fronda’s medical bill from October 31 to November 5 has already reached 88,169 baht. He has no family in Thailand and relies only with friends for help.
Below is the appeal for help posted on Facebook by his friend:
“Muli po kami humihingi at kumakatok sa inyong mga puso sa apag abot at pagbahagi ng tulong financial sa ating kababayan na si Mody Domingo Fronda, na hanggan ngayon ay nasa Ladprao General Hospital at kasalukuyang nagpapagamot sa sakit na pneumonia. Di po biro ang sakit na dumapo sa kanya dahil ito po ay gawa ng parasite na nakukuha sa pagkaing hilaw o pagkaing lamang dagat na may taglay na parasite. Kaya po sa mga kababayang mga pilipino mag ingat po tayo sa pagkain ng kung ano ano at pagkain ng mga hilaw na pagkaing dagat dahil ito po ay madumi at may mga taglay na parasite at bacteria na maaring makasama sa ating kalusugan o maari nating ikamatay kung hindi maagapan… kaya po kung makaranas po kau ng sintomas ng pagkakarion ng mga ito mabuti ng magmadaling magpakonsulta ng maaga kesa mahuli ang lahat.
Sa lahat po ng nag abot ng kanilang mga tulong at mag aabot pa ng tulong financial, buong puso po kami nagpapasalamat sampu ng kanyang pamilya sa pilipinas at kaibigan dito sa Thailand…Maraming salamat po sa PRAYERS AT TULONG FINANCIAL…hindi po na,in makakayanan ang gastos sa hospital kung hindi po tayo magtutulung tulongan at magdadamayan..”
