Operation of OFW from Mindoro successful, help still needed for check-ups & hospital bills

The heart surgery of the overseas Filipino worker (OFW) who suffered from cardiac arrest while she was on the way to work was successful. Mrs Edna Panganiban Mingi, 57, was operated at Seriruk Hospital in Bangkok on February 17.

This was relayed by Melody Rafael, one of patient’s former students.

Ma’am Edna, as she is fondly called by her students also thanked everyone who helped. She had been working as a teacher in Thailand for more than 10 years. She was a former Math teacher at Leuteboro National High School in Socorro.

The family, friends and former students continue to ask for financial assistance for the rest of the bill. Only 250,000 baht was paid  out of the 350,000 baht bill. Donations will go to her check-ups, medication and pay for the remaining balance at the hospital.

“Pasasalamat kasi successful operation at patuloy na financial help kasi  250k pa lang naibayad. She needs to pay pag check up nya,” another former student said.

For donation, kindly deposit to Ma’am Edna’s bank account below.
