Flag carrier Philippine Airlines on Friday night announced that it will be temporarily suspending flights to and from Abu Dhabi starting July 8 until further notice due to “route assessment initiatives”.
An official statement reads that “PAL is seeking the kind understanding of affected passengers as the airline implements these operational adjustments.” Passengers who booked flights from July 8 onwards may get refunds or they may rebook their flights to a Manila-Dubai route and be transported by PAL-arranged bus from Dubai-Abu Dhabi and vice versa.
Affected passengers who wish to avail of these services must contact PAL within 30 days from original flight dates, with rebooking and refunding charges being waived.
Affected Manila-Abu Dhabi flights are PR 656 and PR 657, scheduled Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.
