PHL Embassy to hold Filipiniana Lecture and Exhibit, invites everyone

The Philippine Embassy is inviting everyone to join the Filipiniana Lecture and Exhibit at the Philippine Embassy on June 12, 2016. The said event will feature exhibit and lecture on Philippine weave & textile and filigree jewelry.

The announcement is posted on the embassy website, it says, “you are invited to a Filipiniana Lecture & Exhibit on Philippine weave & textile and filigree jewelry to be presented by Ms. Cora DJ Manimbo, Ms. Sophia Therese Manimbo and Mr. Oskar A. Atendido on 12 June 2016 at the Embassy Conference Room during the Barrio Fiesta event.”

The Lecture and exhibit will be held in the afternoon starting at 2:00 pm.  The event is also being held during the Barrio Fiesta celebration of the Filipino community for the 118th anniversary of the declaration of the Philippine Independence, said Ms Sylvia M. Reyes, Cultural Officer and Attache of Philippine Embassy in Thailand in a separate email.

The Filipiniana Lecture and Exhibit is sponsored by the Embassy, the Filipino Heritage Festival and the Philippine National Commission on Culture and the Arts.
