PHL Embassy to hold Labor Rights Seminar on October 31

To tackle the most pressing concerns among Filipino teachers, the Philippine Embassy will hold the second part of a seminar on Labor Rights on Saturday, October 31 from 8:00am to 12:00nn at the Philippine Embassy Conference Room, Bangkok.

“The seminar is a follow-up to our first Labor Rights seminar held on December 12 last year. This time, due to the request of the majority of our previous participants, our speakers will provide information on the rights of teachers and those employed by educational institutions,” said in the invitation the Embassy posted on its website.

The seminar will be delivered by Atty. Cynthia M. Pornavalai and Atty. Kitti Thaisomboom of Tilleke & Gibbins. They will provide information on the rights of teachers and those employed by educational institutions. It is also limited to 60 participants with a maximum of five participants per school/company.

The Philippine Embassy, through its Gender and Development Program, is pleased to invite you to a Seminar on Labor Rights: Part II which will be held at the Philippine Embassy Conference Room on Saturday, 31 October 2015 from 8:00am to 12:00nn. The seminar will be delivered by Atty. Cynthia M. Pornavalai and Atty. Kitti Thaisomboom of Tilleke and Gibbins.

The seminar is a follow-up to our first Labor Rights Seminar held on 12 December last year. This time, due to the request of the majority of our previous participants, our speakers will provide information on the rights of teachers and those employed by educational institutions.

The Embassy can accommodate the first 60 participants to register via email (the number of participants per school/company will be limited to five in case the number of those who confirm exceed the maximum). No participation fee will be required. Kindly send an email to bangkokpe.economic@gmail.com to register.

When registering via email, please provide the following information:

    • your full name (for preparation of certificates)
    • the educational institution/school/company to which you belong; and
    • questions (maximum of two) which you would like to be answered during the seminar

(Note: While not all queries may be addressed during the seminar, the questions will provide a glimpse of the most pressing concerns or frequently asked questions on the topic.
