Police Orders 10-day Suspension to “oral sex club” in Pattaya

Calling it “shockingly” inappropriate and unlawful and bringing “great shame” to the popular beach town, Pattaya police have ordered 808 Disco Club on Pattaya’s Walking Street be suspended for 10 days.

A photo of a woman appearing to perform oral sex in the club went viral and has caused public outcry after it was posted on social media.

Online website Khaosod English reported that the club was ordered to shut down for ten days for not keeping records of its employees as required by regulations. The incident happened on June 28 but the photo was taken on June 29 at around 3 am.

Police Superintendent Pol.Col. Sukthat Pumpanmuang also ordered the authorities to track down the pair in the photo, a Korean man and a Thai woman, and charge them with public indecency. The club owners, however, will not face legal action for the lewd act for they quickly expelled the couple when they noticed the incident.

The report also said that “the couple were both clients of the bar at the time, and that they were kicked out as soon as security staff noticed what they were doing.” It added that “no CCTV footage of the incident because the club’s security camera was broken”.
