President Benigno Aquino thanked Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for including three Philippine schools in the Collaboration Project on Children and Youth Development.
“Without doubt, this will bolster the capacities of our institutions to further empower our youth,” Aquino said referring to the project of Princess Sirindhorn.
It was relayed Friday to Thai Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha by president Aquino himself during state luncheon held in Malacañang. The prime minister had a two-day state visit on August 27-28, 2015. A toast was given by Aquino to honor Chan-o-cha and the Thai delegation.
The two leaders both recognized the importance of education in developing the abilities of both countries’ peoples.
According to Aquino, this is the principle behind the continued work towards the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on the exchanges of professional teachers.
“We will have the opportunity to further enhance the capabilities and competencies of both our Filipino and Thai teachers”, Aquino stressed.
