Royal Crematorium opens until December 31

Due to the high influx of visitors, the royal crematorium which was shortly opened to the public after HM King Rama 9’s cremation will be open until the end of the year.

Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha said on Tuesday that the members of the cabinet have considered the opening of the royal crematorium for another month. With more than 1.4 million people, locals and foreigners who visited, more visitors are expected with this extension. It was supposed to be dismantled at the end of November as tradition dictates  as it is a bad omen to leave it erected for a long time.
