Steps in getting a Re-Entry Permit at Suvarnabhumi Airport

If you already have your work visa, but would like to travel outside Thailand for a short period then you will need to apply for a Re-Entry Permit.

Aside from Immigration offices such as Chaengwattana and any other local immigration offices, you can also obtain the Re-Entry Permit before you travel at International airports such as Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi.

In this article are steps taken by PinoyThaiyo’s co-founder Jezreel Llanera when he obtained his Re-Entry Permit at Suvarnabhumi International Airport during his travel to Manila on October 10.

1. Check-in (Row S, Philippine Airlines)
2. Luggage and body check
3. Immigration passport control
4. Re-entry permit

Re-entry Permit counter is inside International Departures 2 (there are two passport control sections, go to zone 2). Processing time takes an average of 15 minutes. As per the officer in charge, Re-Entry Permit can be done either before or after passport control.

The current fees for re-entry permits are as follows:

1,000 baht – single entry
3,800 baht – multiple entry
200 baht will be charged for the photo

Your Re-Entry permit is also valid until your visa expires.
