Street Movers (The Pride of Iligan City) joins Asia Pacific Dance Competition in Bangkok

Street Movers, a Filipino dance group from Iligan City, Philippines is now in Bangkok for the 21st Asia Pacific Dance Competition (APDC) on August 23-25 at Aksra Theatre in King Power Building in Victory Monument (soi Rangnam).

Last year, Street Movers (Pride of Iligan City) won 2 gold trophies in Singapore. They will be showcasing four dances at APDC in Bangkok. You can follow Street Movers on their Facebook page.

Nine countries are participating in the competition. Here’s the schedule.

August 23
3:00 p.m. – Ensemble Category (open age)

August 24
12:40 p.m. – Ensemble (17 and under)
3:30 p.m. – Trio (open age)

August 25
Troupe (open age)

Meanwhile, the group is also asking for support from the Filipino Community.

We are now here in Bangkok, Thailand to compete for 21st asia pacific dance competition this coming August 23-25 to be held at Akshara theatre. We are 19 in our team staying at Mind Day Hostel Khaosan from today till next week August 29. We are hoping from the Thailand Filipino community for possible help for our food and remaining days stay. ”
