Representatives from the said companies also came to witness the AFTBL opening program on Sunday, January 29, 2017.
The couple were chosen by Western Union representatives who served as judges during the event.
Some of the country’s biggest companies led by Western Union and its agent companies such as Bangkok Bank and Central Department Store attended the opening.
Thirteen teams all together, nine teams for senior division and four for 38 years old up, will face off during the three-month tournament from January 29 to April 9, 2017.

A total of 14 teams are competing at the three-month basketball tournament mainly sponsored by Western Union which is considered as the world’s largest money transfer company.
The team also bagged the Best in Uniform Award and Ms. AFTBL title. Pinay beauty Ms. Guizel Joyce Liwanag Tupas of Duterte Eagles bested six other contestants and was voted winner by a panel of judges.
