TH Ministry of Education director leads 187 graduates of IFSU – St. Roberts graduation

A director from the Office of the Basic Education of Thailand’s Ministry of Education led the graduation rites of Ifugao State University through St. Robert’s Global Education in Bangkok on Sunday, August 13, 2017.

Dr. Somporn Samthongklan, director of Innovational Learning Group was the guest speaker  at the IFSU’s 2017 Commencement Speaker at Indra Hotel in Pratunam.

A total of 187 graduates from different countries have earned their graduate and undergraduate degrees. Graduates include: 161 Diploma in Education; 21 Master of Arts in Teaching; and 5 Doctor in Philosophy.

Dr. Ivan Baliguat, dean of College of Open Distance Education and Transnational Education led the presentation of graduates which were confirmed by Dr. Nancy Ann Gonzales, vice president of Academic Affairs.

The theme for this year’s graduation was “Taking Steps and Connecting to Build”. An inspiring welcome address was delivered by one of the graduates. Graduate student James Edward Ford recalled the hurdles he had endured which he put in a very catchy phrase, “Keep going, don’t give up, do your best, you can do this”.

Ifugao State University is one of the Philippine universities listed in Ministry of Education’s list of foreign universities allowed to offer degree courses through transnational education in the Kingdom of Thailand.
