Three Filipino toastmasters charm international audience

Three Filipino toastmasters charmed the judges and amused international audience during the Speech Competition organized by District 97P Toastmasters International last November 27, 2016 at Christian University, Bangkok.

Mr. Lester Naces Udang championed the Humorous Speech Contest with his “A Girl Named Ploy” saga. Second place, Mr. Rommuel Evangelista entertained everyone with his narratives on “Being Single”. Six other speakers of four different nationalities performed their best as audience fell down laughing with their 7-minute stories.

Ms. Erlinda Celestino Agayan won 3rd place on the Speech Evaluation Contest. Eight participants evaluated a speaker for at least 3 minutes.

All the contestants have advanced to this challenging experience after winning in club, area, and division competitions.   The competitions are held annually.

Two Filipino toastmasters already made their way to travel for free and competed in the USA for two consecutive years – Ms. Julie Papango (2016) and Mr. Arniel Arnulfo Somido (2015).

Toastmasters International is a non-profit organization empowering individuals in becoming more effective communicators and leaders.

Congratulations to our brilliant speakers! Continue inspiring others with your power of words!
