WFH measures from January 20-21

Thailand’s worsening PM2.5 air quality has pushed the national government for a work from home scheme.

According to a Khaosod English Facebook post, those working in Bangkok will be working from home (WFH) from January 20-21, due to unhealthy levels of PM2.5 microdust particles.

Thailand has been covered by smog for a few weeks now, urging the public who belong to sensitive groups to wear masks outdoors. Thailand (178) is ranked 5th among countries  around the world having severe air quality control, ranking behind Uzbekistan (187), Poland (184), and just ahead Pakistan (172) and Chad (170).

The AQI website cites 0-50 as good air quality, 51-100 as moderate, 101-150 as unhealthy for sensitive groups, 151-200 as unhealthy, 201-300 as very unhealthy and 300+ as hazardous.
