Wife of Arthur Mina seeks financial assistance to repatriate his remains

After the heart-wrenching and devastating death of Filipino expat in Phuket Arthur Mina, the Filipino “bayanihan” spirit has been ignited to bring back the remains of Mina to the Philippines through financial assistance. However, a couple of months before his death, the Mina family also lost another member of their family, baby Zeal, and now, Arthur’s wife is requesting for her husband’s body and baby’s remains to be repatriated to the Philippines.

Baby Zeal was prematurely born due to Jean’s, Arthur’s wife, condition where she suffered from thyroid problems and also an elevated blood pressure, thus the need for the emergency operation. Baby Zeal was also brought to the ICU for a week before passing last November 5, 2017.

Speaking to a concerned Filipino community member in Phuket, Ms. Maan Sasa shared the grievances of Arthur’s family in the Philippines. Losing a loved one obviously breaks your heart but in a span of just a few months, losing two is wildly unimaginable and now, the issue of finances has struck in. With that said, the continuous effort of the Filipinos in Phuket is in full swing; doing all they can to help a family and friend in need.

Together with the Filipino community in Phuket, we at Pinoy Thaiyo and Filipino Films in Thailand, will be setting up donation boxes for the repatriation of Arthur’s body and the baby’s remains. You may drop your monetary donations during the screening of “Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes” on February 10, Saturday, 6:00 pm and February 11, Sunday, 2:30 pm, at the Century Movie Plaza.
