30 public parks in Bangkok to open for Loy Krathong festival

Bangkok will open 30 public parks from 5:00am to 12:00midnight on November 11 for the Loy Krathong Festival celebration.

Thai locals and tourists can spend the Loy Krathong day with their family and loved ones floating Krathongs in public parks as a thank you sign to mother earth, Thai Residents reported.

Here is a list of public parks open from 05.00 – 24.00 on Loy Krathong Day.

The evening of Loy Krathong is one of the most picturesque festivals in Bangkok. It’s when people gather around lakes, rivers and canals to pay respects to the goddess of water by releasing beautiful lotus-shaped rafts, decorated with candles, incense and flowers onto the water.
