Police have arrested 36 illegal migrants early Wednesday, June 1, 2016 in Bang Yai City market in Nonthaburi. They were charged with illegal entry.
In a news report on BangkokPost, it said that the raid was carried out with the help of 200 military, police and labour officials led by Nisit Chansomwong, the Nonthaburi governor; and Pol Maj Gen Surasak Prakamakul, the provincial police chief.
During the said operation, a total of 233 workers from Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia were brought in for questioning. Thirty-six were found to be undocumented and charged with illegal entry.
The migrants will be deported after going through legal procedures, the report added.
