After a year of sweeping wins in Thailand, the Philippine Karate Team notched 11 medals at the Thailand Open Karate-Do Championship 2016 held on July 14-16, 2016 in Bangkok, Thailand.
The country’s karate team won 2 gold, 2 silver, 7 bronze medals at the said tournament participated in by 19 countries. They are under the supervision of Philippines Karatedo Federation.
Mr. Raymund Lee Reyes, Philippines Karatedo Federation Secretary General and Team Manager, expressed his appreciation for the wins the young athletes brought in.
Composed of 22 athletes and 8 coaches, the Philippine delegation arrived in Bangkok on July 13.
