Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) died on Sunday, April 9, due to a motorcycle accident in Pattaya.
OFW Mr. Kenneth Chaplen Carinhay Sagubay, 31, was driving his motorcycle when he hit a coconut in the middle of the road. His body had flown out of the motorcycle and hit a concrete post. According to reports, blood clots were found in his lungs which then reached his brain.
Sagubay was on the way home when the accident happened at around 3 am. He passed away around 6 pm Sunday at Pattaya Memorial Hospital.
Sagubay worked as a butcher at Big-C shopping center in Pattaya. His wife, who is now five-month pregnant, is living in Soi Pridi Banomyong with their two young children. Sagubay had been living in Bangkok for over six years. He also had two other siblings living in the kingdom.
According to his brother, the family is doing its best to raise funds in order to fly Kenneth’s body to the Philippines.
