The Association of Cordillerans in Thailand (ACT) is raising funds to help the bereaved family of Jill Daniel Mariano and for the repatriation of his remains to the Philippines.
Mariano, 35, succumbed to head injuries he sustained from the accident in Sukhothai, north of Thailand. Mariano is a Kapangan. He hailed from Benguet and Cervantes, Ilocos Sur. He was also the PRO of the Association of Cordillerans in Thailand (ACT).
“On behalf of Mariano Daniel family as well as the ACT organization, we extend our heartfelt thank you to all our benefactors, donors who in one way or the other helped and shared their most valuable assistance in this time of need. Received the amount of 13,300 baht as initial tranche by Mr. Richard Cabaot the immediate family of the late Jill Mariano Daniel is handed by yours truly , Act Vice President Bennett Anton, Ms. Gina Kilip Secretary,” posted ACT President Michael Belgica.
“We are still open to any donations until such time the remains be transported to the Philippines,” he added.
ACT is one of the most vibrant and active community groups in Thailand. Last August, the group also held a fundraising campaign to help other members of the group. Other groups are also conducting fundraising activities to help Mariano’s family.
