Bangkok and neighboring provinces to expect cold temperatures

Cooler temperature drops further in the capital of Thailand, including neighboring provinces with 14-17 degrees Celsius from Tuesday to Thursday, December 21.

The Meteorological Department reported that “a strong high pressure system had moved into the northeast” of the country and this would extend across Thailand’s northern, central and eastern regions. Temperatures are expected to drop by 6-8 degrees Celsius. During these days, another wave of high pressure from China will descend on the northern region, resulting in a fall in temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius, as reported by Channel News Asia.

According to the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF), temperatures could fall to 14 degrees Celsius in the morning and 25-26 degrees Celsius within the day. Dong Mueng district has recorded a low of 15 degrees Celsius on Tuesday, December 19.

Temperatures in Nan province might receive a low 5 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
