The Songkran party on Khao San Road and activities in two neighbouring communities have been cancelled this year to prevent the possible spread of coronavirus disease
Pattaya City is the latest major city to cancel Songkran festival celebrations.
“This year, Patong will not hold any official Songkran festival celebration events at all.”
People have also been asked not to throw water as a COVID-19 precaution.

The public lecture on “Sexism in the Filipino Language” scheduled on March 12, 2020 at Chulalongkorn University has been cancelled.
Dacuno won in a unanimous decision in round three against Chalamthong Petchrambo of Thailand.
Dacuno is among 16 Muay Thai fighters from different countries. Entrance to watch the competition live is 2,000 baht.
Songkran Festival will be held on April 11t-15, 2020.
