After a successful gathering in December 2016, the Filipino community in the provinces of Chanthaburi and Trat have finally been organized and part of its inception is the election of its founding set of officers.
The founding set of officers will be holding a 3-year term to “fully establish a strong foundation of the organization” said Gelan Rusuena, founding-president of the said association. He continues that one of the group’s objectives is to “fully unite the Filipinos in the Eastern part” and as of the moment, they have a 60-70% active participation, which is “hopefully a good start for unity.”
