True to its promise of helping the Filipino community in Thailand, the CIMB Thai Bank serves as one of the co-sponsors of the 1st ATPAC National Convention in Saraburi Province. More than 200 delegates, mostly composed of Filipino teachers and publishing workers, are currently attending the convention.
Adventist Teachers and Publishing Access Club ( ATPAC) is a newly-organized group composed of Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) teachers and publishing workers. It is spearheaded by Pastor Demetrio “Jun” Taotao, a Filipino minister together with other Filipinos and Thai leaders. Pastor Taotao works as Publishing Director at Thailand Adventist Mission (TAM), the headquarters of SDA denomination in the kingdom.
This is not the first event that CIMB Thai Bank through SpeedSend, its international money transfer program, has helped the endeavors of the Filipino community in the kingdom. The Thai bank also sponsored the Adventist Youth Association (AYA) sports fellowship in 2014 and 2015 held in Bangkok.
CIMB Thai Bank’s SpeedSend also has an on-going promotion called SpeedSend Bingo Program where anyone can trade four stamps for one free money transfer transaction to the Philippines. It is a promotion which started again in October 15 and valid until December 31, 2015.
