The Filipino film that won Jaclyn Jose the Best Actress Award at Cannes Film Festival will be screened in Bangkok on August 22, Tuesday at the SAC ASEAN Film Festival 2017. Screening is free.
Ma’ Rosa is a 2016 Filipino drama film directed by award-winning director Brillante Mendoza. It was selected to compete for the Palme d’Orat the 2016 Cannes Film Festival. At Cannes, Jaclyn Jose won the award for Best Actress.
The venue is located at the Auditorium, 5th Floor, Sirindhorn Anthropology Center. (Public Organization). Screening starts from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
The Philippine Embassy in Bangkok is encouraging Filipinos in Thailand to watch the film. Ma’ Rosa is one of the seven foreign movies which will be screened from August 19 to 23.
