Foreigners can now register online for COVID-19 vaccine at Princess Chulabhorn Royal Academy

At least one hospital in Bangkok is allowing non-citizens to register and get in line for COVID-19 vaccination.

Chulabhorn Hospital in the capital’s Chaeng Wattana area is accepting online registration for foreign nationals without Thai identification documents.

For now, the hospital says those who register will be contacted via SMS for scheduling their appointments once it obtains the necessary vaccine supply from the Disease Control Department. It said they would also be put on a waitlist for those who fail to show up for their appointments.

People need only provide a passport number, contact info and basic medical details. The registration site is available in English, though years are by the Buddhist calendar.

After registration is complete, the site will provide a receipt. Registration may be canceled via a provided link.

While mass registration opened earlier this month, it has been limited to Thai nationals. Officials say they will supply universal inoculations and their systems were not yet ready to process noncitizens.

Vaccinations to date have been limited to those 60 and up, medical professionals or other at-risk groups. Government spokesperson Ratchada Thanadirek said yesterday that all Thai nationals 18 to 59 would be able to register via the Mor Phrom application (Android / iOS) starting May 31.

She said a registration system for non-Thai nationals would be ready around the same date.
