Former Communications Assistant Secretary Esther Margaux “Mocha” J. Uson is the new Deputy Executive Director of the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) effective September 23, 2019.
Uson’s name was on the new list of presidential appointees from Malacañang. Her appointment paper was released on September 26.
OWWA is a government agency in charge of helping Filipinos working abroad.
Before her appointment to the PCOO in May 2017, Uson, a blogger and entertainer who has since supported the President during his presidential campaign in 2016, also served as a board member of the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board.
