Ms. Regine Velasquez’ impersonator Ate Reg is to appear as a guest star in the Philippine Independence Celebration on Sunday, June 7 at The Philippine Embassy Compound Bangkok.
Ate Reg a.k.a. ate Mavey is well-known as a tribute artist to the Asia’s songbird, Ms. Regine Velasquez. She is also one of the hosts in GMA game show “Game Ka Na Ba?”. GMA calls her as Asia’s Comic Songbird. She has done lots of performances in the Philippines and abroad with Ms. Velasquez and other stars. On stage the comedian and entertainer acts and looks like her idol. Her wits and naturalness has made her widely accepted in the entertainment world.
Ate Reg will be performing from 3:00 – 4:00 pm as a part of the celebration with the theme “Barrio Fiesta”. Her appearance is made possible through the cooperation of Western Union. The program, which will start at 9:00 am till 8:00 pm, will relive the Philippine culture and traditions through games and presentations.
