The Philippines’ infrastructures are simply outdated and needs to be rehabilitated in order to accommodate the country’s economic growth to prosper, and to attract tourists in the country says Enrico Mariano, commercial attache at the Department of Trade and Industry, who is also joining President Duterte in Thailand.
In an interview with ANC, Mariano says that Thailand’s infrastructures and its support for farmers are main points that the Philippines must follow in order to catch up with our fellow ASEAN neighbor’s boost in its economy. When asked if the Thais have high regards to Filipino businessmen and its businesses in general, Mariano answered that there are interest about setting up possible ties in the country.
President Duterte will witness signing of three agreements this afternoon, mainly on agriculture, science and technology and tourism.
In terms of tourist spots Thais would like to visit in the country. Boracay still tops the destination for the locals.
