Government Spokesperson Prof. Narumon Pinyosinwat clarified about an information spread online which warned the public to get prepared as the Government would invoke the 24-hour curfew from April 10, 2020 onward.
According to the Government Spokesperson, that is the fake news. Prime Minister and Defense Minister Gen. Prayut Chan-o-cha affirmed that no decision has not been made on the the 24-hour curfew. It is that the Government has to make advance and proactive preparations to cope with the spread of COVID-19 in the case that the situation is not getting any better.
At the moment, all the plans are just plans, which, when necessary, will be implemented by concerned authorities through official orders. The public is also called on to listen to and strictly comply with official announcements from the Government and Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).
