The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) and the Board of Professional Teachers (BPT) announced that 19,659 elementary teachers out of 72,054 examinees (27.28%) and 22,271 secondary teachers out of 85,823 examinees (25.95%) successfully passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers (L.E.T.) given last March 24, 2019 in 20 testing centers all over the Philippines. It is further announced that of the 19,659 elementary teacher passers, 5,078 are first timers and 14,581 are repeaters. For the secondary teachers, 15,621 passers are first timers and 6,650 are repeaters.
The Board for Professional Teachers was composed of Dr. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman; Dr. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairman; Dr. Paraluman R. Giron and Dr. Nora M. Uy (on leave), Members.
Stephanie Apple Miguel Piodo of Compostela Valley State College-Montevista Branch topped the elementary level with a rating of 93.20% while Honey Gracielle Decosto Baclayo of University of Mindanao in Davao ranked first in the secondary level with 93.40% rating.
The University of Southeastern Philippines in Tagum City and the
University of the Philippines Diliman were the top schools in the elementary and secondary levels respectively.
