Pinoy movie lovers queued in long lines to get their ‘Seven Sundays’ movie tickets at Century Movie Plaza in Bangkok last weekend, November 4-5, 2017.
A total of 1,036 Filipinos and some expats watched “Seven Sundays” in all four screenings. Filipinos from all walks of life and different ages came to support the second screening of a pinoy movie in Bangkok. Some brought their complete family while other brought their kids.
On Saturday evening, 289 out of 290 seats were sold out.
“Seven Sundays” is a family dramedy movie that tells the story of four estranged adult siblings – Allan, Bryan, Cha and Dex – who are forced by their dying father, Manuel, to hold their Sunday family get-togethers again for the remaining two months of his life.
Last month’s screening of the movie “Last Night” was also a huge success.
Screening of Pinoy movies in the kingdom is made possible by Filipino Films in Thailand (FFT) and PinoyThaiyo in partnership with The Filipino Channel (TFC) and ABS-CBN’s Star Cinema.
Aside from Bangkok, the movie will also be screened in Rayong, Phitsanulok and Phuket. ‘Seven Sundays’ was also screened in Koh Samui on Saturday evening.
