St Robert’s Int’l Academy accepts enrollees for K-12 under the PHL DepEd curriculum

St. Robert’s International Academy in Thailand is now also accepting enrollees for primary and secondary levels for school year 2016-2017. Filipinos working and living in Thailand can now send their children to SRIA which follows Philippine DepEd K-12 curriculum.

Just last year on July 9, President Aquino signed 2015 Republic Act 10665, which seeks to establish Open High School System (OHSS) as part of the Department of Education’s (DepEd) alternative secondary education program, Campus, philstar.com reported.

The new law seeks to “provide access to secondary education through the open learning modality”. It also allows private educational institutions to set their own privately funded learning centers as long as they follow the standards and criteria set by the government.

In connection to this, SRIA has been granted authority to operate the Open High School Program (Grades 7- 10) by the DepEd on May 13, 2015. It is permitted to operate in accordance to the rules and requirements of the DepEd.

In line of these standards and criteria, SRIA operates the Specialized Curricula which are adapted to ensure maximum learning experiences. The Creative Arts Elementary curriculum is applied for primary school program and the Special Business High School Curriculum is utilized for secondary school program.

SRIA is committed to its philosophy, “Leading the way towards excellent, world-class, God-centered, and Learner-oriented Education”.

SRIA is inviting Filipino and foreign students in Thailand for primary and secondary school levels to join the inaugural batch. Classes start on June 16 for academic year 2016 – 2017.
