Why having a foreign boyfriend is not such a good idea? A foreigner speaking in Thai named Jack Brown posted a video on his Facebook account enumerating reasons why having a “farang” boyfriend is a bad idea.
In a 7.30-minute video, Brown warned Thai women of going into a relationship with a foreigner citing “most foreigners here are not very good people” and that “they (Thai women) could be left heartbroken or hurt”, in addition to “foreigners here are not rich” explaining each point by point.
The video has already gone viral on social media with almost 150,000 views, 3,500 shares, and nearly 10,000 likes as of posting time. It has also been flooded with positive comments and praises and also negative reactions.
Brown has over 160,000 followers on Facebook and is widely admired by many Thais for being able to speak Thai fluently.
