Philippine Honorary Consul Agkarajit Phanomvan na Ayudhya joined Filipino Community in Chiang Mai in watching the first Filipino movie screening at SF Cinema MAYA Chiang Mai on Sunday, December 10.
‘Unexpectedly Yours’ stars Sharon Cuneta, Robin Padilla, Julia Barretto and Joshua Garcia. The movie as also screened in Phuket, Pattaya, Koh Samui, Bangkok and Pathumthani on December 3-4.
Also present at the event were the 120th Philippine Independence Day Organizing Committee led by its president Ms Victoria Nimmanahaeminda and officers of the Association of Filipinos in Chiang Mai Northern Region Chapter.
Meanwhile, Krungsri Bank Western Union gave free tickets to its loyal customers in Chiang Mai. Western Union has a special promotion of 229 baht per transaction in the province.
In a Facebook post, the consul thanked Western Union and the organizers for bringing pinoy movies in the north of Thailand.

The next movie, The Revenger Squad will also be screened in Chiang Mai in January.
