Filipino young Mathematicians win big in Malaysia

Team Philippines, composed of young Filipino students, won a total of 28 awards, including 22 medals, in the 4th Challenge for Future Mathematicians (CFM) last December 8-12 in Sungai, Petani, Kedah, Malaysia.

This triumphant win was announced by Mathematics Development Academy of the Philippines (MATHDAP) President Dr. Archieval Rodrigez in a statement, that the Filipino contenders won 5 gold, 13 silver and 4 bronze medals, including 2 merit awards in the individual contests and second, third and fourth runner-up rankings in the said competition.

Around 250 students from Malaysia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand and the Philippines joined the competition.

Students who won gold were:
