PHL Honorary Consul leads in distribution of English books

Philippine Honorary Consul Agkarajit Phanomvan na Ayudhya led in the distribution of 100 English reading books to a primary school in Chiang Mai on Tuesday, May 24, 2016.

The books were given to Wat Chang Kian Primary School where a group of Filipino teachers work. In a post on Facebook, the Consul said the books were part of the collections from schools, libraries and neighbours near his high school classmate Mr. George Chambers who lives in Massachusetts, USA. Meanwhile, the transportation from the US to Chiang Mai was sponsored by Ms. Siripha Chariton.

A courtesy call to the school director also took place. Consul Agkarajit Phanomvan na Ayudhya is the Philippines’ Honorary Consul in Chiang Mai. The consul also thanked everyone who contributed.

“Early this morning, upon the school’s request, PH Honorary Consul took 100 English reading books collected by his high school friend in Massachusetts to Wat Chang Kian Primary School. Thereafter, a courtesy call was made to the director of Anubarn Chiangmai School where there is a group of Filipino teachers.”
